Nice to see a multiplayer FPS set on the western front of late WWII. It’s a breath of fresh air.

To be honest, it looks like this one is actually Traction Wars, with a new name. So it's been in development for a long time, started way before the others if i'm not mistaken.

And yes, there are many of them, but they are not the same (for example, this one has the British army)

Actually I had one of those. ( The barrel that is )

and two of my friends own one actual going example each.

( They are heavy to heft and lugging around must be a good work out.)

 

and if all of these FPS got together to build one really really stupendous game...

Sometimes whole barrel or just the muzzle brake section were chromed but never the whole body of the weapon and the magazines. Here is a good picture of WW2 era Brens - top and bottom are Mk 3, the airborne version with shortened barrel..

If this one will be a standout from the rest by having the British in it, does that mean there will be settings like the raid on St Nazaire, or Bruneval?  Or does it just mean brown uniforms?

 I can understand the hate in the case of BFV.

It's a bit surprising though, since BF1 was already nonsense and people were ok with that.

It seems that the gaming world doesn't hate BFV because it's looks to similar to BF1, but because of the SJW aspect. Like EA putting in female soldiers that look like Mad Max extra's.

I like the idea of smaller squad based battles, where tactics matter.

 

I’ve pledged my £10, for an early access copy. Hope they hit their target.
