The planes are already available in MP but few server already have them for flying as we are lacking the Bodenplatte map and these models do not fit in any of the current available battles (Stalingrad, Moscow and Kuban).

As far as i know, there are no news about the release of the map and I am new to the series so I also do not know at which point during the EA period 1C released the map of the previous installments. The released content for BoBP is the Spitfire Mk. IX, Bf 109 G-14 and FW A-8 being the next expected releases the P47 and Me-262.

at this point, we can just say the map will be done when it's done.

Why not P47 and D9?

yeah no, i have no idea where he gets the idea about the 262, it was mentioned multiple times on the forum, that the  262 needs special FM work to enable higher mach numbers and thus will be the last plane to be released.

ME262 is the last plane that will be released according to Jason in his Reddit AMA

P-47 next then D9 would be my guess, after that probably the K-4 or P-51. Tempest, P-38, and 262 will be the last imo.

Unfortunately not many servers have the Bodenplatte aircraft in them, I'm still waiting for Berloga to add the Fw-190A8 to the mix.

It's been a while since they talked about the map (understandably) and the comments we had from some of the devs was that we shouldn't expect to see it too soon. The map team is busy building the map for Bodneplatte as well as two smaller maps for Tank Crew and Flying Circus. It'll be a little while before they have the western Europe map sorted out... and its the biggest they have ever done so it will probably take some doing.

If their work on the Kuban map is any indication... It'll be a work of art.

I believe the small but very detailed Tank Crew map was mentioned to be developed by another team.

Simply because they started teasing the plane but I may be wrong of course.

All we’ve seen so far is the rough 3D model, nothing of the FM.

yeah, i didn't see any teasing. they simply posted a development update as they usually do

You are right mates, I thought that the pattern was to release the models of the nexts planes to be added. Also I missed the question in the AMA about the Me 262 where Jason states it will be the last to be added.

Anyway, the milestone for Bodenplatte to become popular in MP is the release of the map and we have no news about it. As soon as they release it I will get the addon.

Jason was pretty explicit in the Reddit AMA that the 262 would be last.

EDIT: You already know that, didn't see the last few posts :(

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere. Some of the objects may be developed third party but the actual map work is likely being done in-house, especially since they are pushing the terrain resolution to a higher level. I guess we'll find out when we find out.

I found this in the devblog, but I believe I've read similar somewhere else too.

We've managed to set up the joint workflow with our development partners so Tank Crew development doesn't affect the progress we're making on our other big project – Battle of Bodenplatte.

And in the sentence before:

Quote

Part of our team is working on improving the engine, making the physical tank models and their damage modeling, creating the map and improving the user interface for the tank crews.

So it is being done in house.
