Turning off HUD in MP gives better FPS

Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere before, but I haven't found this mentioned or posted elsewhere.

 

The problem is when you turn off HUD when on any of the MP servers (default "H" key) - you get better FPS. In my case, that translates to about 7-8 FPS with i5 2500k @ 4.5 GHz and 980Ti with 16GB of RAM (game installed on a separate SSD - everything set to max. Not only do I get better FPS, but also the game (view pan around) seems smoother.

 

This is present for several patches now, and updating drivers doesn't seem to fix the issue.

 

Anyone else? Is there s good reason for this happening?

The dev's have acknowledged this for a while now;  having HUD on eats up an astonishing 40% of graphic resources.

 

Its on the to do list.
