I got the game awhile back but my comp at the time couldn't run it, so I got a refund. Now that I have a better comp I repurchased and when I try and login I get a "#5 Licence Key not activated", however I didn't get any CD keys with the purchase and I can't remember if I got one last time?

Is this related to the whole CD key issues they have been having? This is really quite annoying.

Steam, on both occassions. 

 

I seem to remember the first time I had to create an account and then activate a key, however now, I can't seem to find that key in steam (ie right click the game steam Library etc).

Did you try logging in to your account on the website here to see if you have a product key that needs activation?

I did. The "purchases" section is blank.

 

I also tried the "Steam login" in the game (instead of entering your username / pwd), but I get the same result :(

I would contact support and see what's going on, they may be able to help you. I've never purchased any BoX content from Steam so I don't know what the deal is for registering on there.

That is odd. Have you linked your accounts? That may hold some solutions.

When I start the game, I see the "link and login" (or something similar) and also the "steam login". Regardless which one I pick, I get the #5 error.

I think the issue has something to do with the fact that I've purchased the game before (and created a account), then got a refund cos my comp at the time couldn't run it well and now that I have repurchased, something is stuffing up :(

Yep. Definitely time to talk to support @ciphrix1. A little patience and I think they will have you all fixed up.

Thanks. I've raised a ticket but just wanted to make sure I wasn't being derp and missing something obvious.

I think the support guy is on vacation right now, don't quote me on that though. There's only one guy working support so you might need to have a little patience, just giving you a heads up.

Okay, lodged a ticket on the weekend, but I didn't get any confirmation email (which might be the case).

 

Yeah, I mean I really have no choice but to wait, but still a little annoying.

I get that people go on holidays, but it's been 4 days and surely they would have another team member covering?

I gave up, it's a bit silly that they would only have 1 person handling tickets and if that person goes on holiday then bad luck...

 

But I wish you all good luck. Let me know if your tickets ever get answered.

did your tickets every get answered? i bought the game on steam and on the website because i got so furious that nothing works.

accounts is linked to steam and on neither client it works. license key not activated when i try to login. on my profile on the website i have the license key and it says in green letter license key activated. uttermost bullshit and scam and no help from the support! i wrote several ticket!!!

I too am having this exact issue and cannot play at all as a result. Here's hoping the support ticket I created resolves the issue. I'll post the results here for posterity.

Hi Guys .. Love the series but cant play it due to the account issues as above

 

I have bought this game 3 times now and refunded it on steam yet again

 

This is my last refund.. I will not buy this game again. Lesson learnt

same here. I was using it as usuall but i tried to sync my il2 old account with Steam. I did it but now when i launch the game (steam) im getting that error message.

I used to have options to link or create an account but now i only have these two options

 

LogIn Online

Login Offline

 

offline works but... cant play MP. and Online gives me the #5 license key is not activated.

I've got the same issue, just bought IL2 in the Steam sale. I'd bought it previously 3-4 years ago and refunded as my PC wasn't good enough at the time.

 

Now when I try to run the game I get the #5: License Key is not activated. no matter what option I choose in the launcher.

 

If I try to buy IL2 BOS on the IL2 website it says I own the game already so it's definitely synced my purchase over but I can't play the game due to the license key not activated error.

Emailed support and they fixed it for me. Can login now. ?
