Full stop in one of my careers....sigh

I am getting a full game lockup over 7 over in one of my on-going careers even after i have 'Verified files' in Steam.I am using Rift, & while loading the certain career I get stuck forever in the Rift loading screen while wearing goggles while my PC screen gets locked on the "Proceed to next day screen. I have to try to get out of this lock up by basically re-booting.What's up ...should I just forget this guy & start again or what?
