Grajo Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) Looking for a more "Classic" IL-2 look. Trying to find a good compromise between the pictures provided by Sternjaeger, and the vanilla sight. Zoom view. Does always look better with a german plane inside it ;]. Features: - Complete texture rework with a more "Classic" look. - Double resolution image for a cleaner Gunsight. - OvGME / JSGME compatible. *Special thanks to LizLemon for providing original image file and path. UPDATE I-16 Gunsight update New "Standard" Reddish tint option Details: - Added Gunsight for the glorious I-16 - Now there are 2 versions of the Mod: Classic: Yellowish tint Standard: Reddish tint Updated DOWNLOAD LINK PBP-1 HD Gunsight.zip Edited August 18, 2018 by HR_Grajo 3 1 6
Tony_Kito Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I've recently reinstalled this to run my modded SP career, but I noticed this along with most of his other gunsight mods work, but the gunsight is very, very, very dim. Is anyone aware of a way to fix this? I tried going into an image editor and just sliding brightness/contrast up but it didn't seem to have a positive effect 1

czech693 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 If you're playing SP you can use VREM (pinned above in this Mod section of the forum) to brighten up your reticles. It's also useful for sharpening the image and adjusting the colors. But, you can't use it in MP as it's considered a mod.

Works with the HD clear original version of the mod, but not the yellow one - here's what it looks like when I try to brighten it using VREM
czech693 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Yeah, I don't use a reticle mod when I'm using VREM. 1
WitchyWoman Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Is anyone using VREM without VR? I read above that it can help the sights stand out better?
czech693 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 (edited) Yep, I'm using it in with a monitor and head tracking. Works great, except I go easy on the exterior colors as they can get psychedelic. You can adjust the gunsights so bright they become annoying. Here's one at my current setting and one that is bumped up a few notches. Edited January 5, 2024 by czech693
czech693 Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) Some of the other gunsights brightened up by VREM. Click them to see full resolution. Edited January 5, 2024 by czech693
Tony_Kito Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 That's all well and good mate, but this is a topic about the modded gunsight, not the default ones or a showcase of VREM, I tried using VREM to aid in fixing this mod's broken reticle and didn't work, please don't run interference in the topic
czech693 Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Sorry Mate. Just trying to help out. So the answer is no, I don't know of any mods or software to modify the modded reticles.
