Art-J Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 (edited) Hello there. Not having much experience with this sim and tinkering with gfx settings lately, I've noticed one rendering peculiarity, which I'm not quite happy with. As seen on the screenshot below, the dirt apron of the airfield is covered with one non-transparent base texture layer, plus a second, semi-transparent copy of the very same texture, floating in the air about two inches above the previous one. The plane "stands" on the bottom layer, while the upper one goes through the wheels (red arrow on the screen). At the same time, the airplane shadow is being rendered on both layers and thus becomes duplicated (yellow arrows). What's not visible on static screenshot is the fact that upper layer tends to shake a little bit when F2 camera is rotated at high zoom levels - not a pleasant view. Is it something normal for gfx engine in BoX series and I have to get used to it, or is there some gfx parameter which I can tweak to reduce this effect? My current settings are posted in the second screen. While we are at it, is it also normal that distant grass is being rendered as semi-transparent blob as well (blue arrow)? Cheers.
