jg23syncromash Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 I have been flying my 109e and after flying for about 20 minuets my plane does the violent shake and it gets a gasket leak my rpm was in the thousands and my ATA was 1.1 plz help
FTC_DerSheriff Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 (edited) You haven't opened your radiators. you need to open Oil and water rads. They are manually controlled on the E. Edited August 15, 2018 by DerSheriff 1
jg23syncromash Posted August 15, 2018 Author Posted August 15, 2018 (edited) I am a subscriber just asking do you use IR? Edited August 15, 2018 by jg23syncromash mistake
Guest deleted@134347 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 with E7 you do need the radiators opened, however not to the same extent as on the VVS planes. E7 gets cooled very quickly and having the rads opened too much has a detrimental effect on speed, which in its turn reduces the effectiveness of the rads, which in its turn raises the engine temperature even higher. It's counter intuitive to say the least. I found on winter maps the rads to be opened to 3-5% max if not shut off completely. On hot summer maps the 25%-30% is max. Watch the temperature gauges and adjust accordingly.
jg23syncromash Posted August 15, 2018 Author Posted August 15, 2018 im talking about il2 clod lol but thanks anyway

The later E4s can be pushed a little harder. In the pre blitz version of clod you did have to be careful between 3.5K and 5K due to temp spikes caused by the environmental modelling but im not sure if Blitz resolved this. Water and oil rads are both manual and cannot be shut down too much unless you are achieving very high speeds.

If you post your CloD queries over there, they will be more easily answered. Great Battles series is an entirely different producthttps://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/105-general-discussion/
