SAG Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 (edited) What do you guys think of this? i just started designing it yesterday (gotta love 3d printers!) ? I want to build myself a throttle quadrant inspired on the La5's or the P51's eventually. And my faithful companion! Edited August 24, 2018 by 19//SAG 1
angus26 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 That’s actually really cool. It’s certainly rudimentary, but it works, and I don’t have a problem with that.
Dakpilot Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 There are a lot of throttle quadrants of variable quality available to builders of homebuilt aircraft, which maybe could also be used as a useful starting point.. Just a thought http://m.aircraftspruce.com/categories/aircraft_parts/ap/menus/ap/controls_quadrants.html Just a small example above, starting from US 50 dollar, should be durable enough for flight sim use Cheers, Dakpilot
Sokol1 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Looks good - since this part will be inside a box their finish look don't matter, but the bearings and contacless sensor - things that you don't see in Saitek's/CH's throttles. May you can add an adjustment for friction in the side opposite to sensor side.

I want to add adjustable friction and % Indents but it's getting king of hard working in such a small space. any ideas on how to do the friction mechanism?
