-332FG-Gordon200 Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 That looks fantastic. Any idea about cost and availability? I didn't see either mentioned in the link.

No not yet, just announced. Rumor over on Oculus forums is it will be pricey. They have focused on the Enterprise Market so far, not sure what they are going after with this.
dburne Posted August 14, 2018 Author Posted August 14, 2018 Going to be interesting to see what Oculus shares with us at OC5 next month...
JonRedcorn Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 Eye tracking?! This thing could be the headset to win it all, looks like it's going to need a monster GPU and a shit ton of cash to operate.

This makes it sound like it's strictly commercial. I thought they had a commercial headset already being sold. 33 minutes ago, Dakpilot said: Says SLi VR compatible.? SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Then, with the release of the next-gen, I'd be willing to pay € 200 - 250 for an IL-2 VR module if they promise to keep this uptodate with eye tracking, foveated rendering, and proper ressource distribution on the cores. Even in advance. 1

My feeling is that they will NOT announce the next CV2 (that is PC VR succesor of current Rift). Reasons? This year they go full speed for mobile VR and there is still not a clear serious competitor of the current Rift. But God knows how strongly I want to be wrong!
