I expect a true graphic enhancement. I dream of a game that represent WWI aviation in all its diversity.

Who can call realist a simulator that offer only one Fokker D.VII 3D model ?

From what I see we only have a simple exportation of RoF 3D models with the same inacuracies. (The bomb bay by default on the SPAD XIII...)

This apply to WWII as well. Only one graphic model per plane. The result is a perpetually unfinished game.

This is such a waste when you see the potential.

Wrong. Bombs are not enabled by default on the FC Spad 13.

Again, wrong. Models change based on the mods installed.

And... again, wrong. The 3d model of the D.VIIF will undoubtedly be different from the D.VII, just like it is in ROF.

Yes you don't have bombs when you don't select them on the SPAD. But the bomb bay is still present which is unrealistic.

Of course, the BMW 3D model is not the same that Mercedes one, because it's another engine. Machine guns are in high position, but the plane has only one model. This is a late Fokker-built DVII. Where are the OAW, the Albatros and the Fokker-bulit ones ? You can argue this is impossible to model. But many variations are recorded (I'm thinking about the three volumes of the Fokker DVII antology).

Concerning WWII, variations are less numerous because of the technological progress of the time. But an aircraft knows little changes during its operational lifetime.

Let's take the plane which gave its name to the game, the Il2 as an exemple.

More precisly the model 1942. Depending on factories some had metalic or wooden wings, some had a gun sight, others did not etc.

Adding such details to this simulator would be a great step forward.

Oh, speaking of SPADs again ....

SPAD XII anyone?

In my opinion the developers should implement all planes from ROF step by step. I think it should be easier because these planes are already developed and have only to be modified and updated for the new game engine in IL2. Only when all ROF-planes are implemented, I would suggest further development and collecting of historical data for other WWI planes.

I also agree with the last post by Ptolemy_Soter. More variations for each plane could make the simulation more realistic. I know this will be a lot of work and research of historical data. So I would suggest to further improve the existing plane models before releasing more content. Quality over quantity.

Hi,

Maybe it's possible to make the Nieuport's from the Lafayette escadrille ?!

If FC is a profit maker and not a loss maker, the N11 and N17 will be introduced, I’m very sure on that.

I think the N11, N17, Albatros D2 and Halb D2 are safe. Because they sure deliver great matchups and are loved online.
