56RAF_Roblex Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I put my nice screenshots into my pilots diary. I started it when playing Cliffs Of Dover then a month ago restarted it to show my new flying career in BoX :-) It does not reflect very well on our squadron performance; too many bounces due to lack of situational awareness. I think we got a bit rusty when we swapped from CLoD to DCS Normandy and saw little real squadron scale combat. Latest entry is here https://roblex56raf.livejournal.com/28612.html Just an account of my own deficiencies :-) 4

[DBS]El_Marta Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) Nice pictures. But is there any chance you get rid of this Schutz-Staffel avatar. I do not see any reason for it on a flight sim forum. So why do you use it? Do you identify with the Schutz-Staffel? Edited October 26, 2017 by [DBS]El_Marta
SCG_ItsDrifter Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Nice pictures. But is there any chance you get rid of this Schutz-Staffel avatar. I do not see any reason for it on a flight sim forum. So why do you use it? Do you identify with the Schutz-Staffel? Are you talking to me? If so, are you also talking about the 190 skins? Those are vanilla skins, not custom. And i absolutely despise the SS by the way, they were horrible. Also: I didn't even knew that resembled the SS symbol.
[DBS]El_Marta Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 I also like flying the 19o. It is my favourity fighter. Actually the guy in your avatar is wearing a SS cap. This is not a tank troop skull. I just wanted to figure out wether you are aware of it.
SCG_ItsDrifter Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Oh snap, i was not aware, sorry.. Just liked how he was hugging a baby cow, Lol. looked like a cool picture, i'll be sure to change it, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I thought you where talking about that bolt on the 190. 1
SCG_ItsDrifter Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 There we go, sorry about that guys! Need to pay more attention to those damn photos! 1
[DBS]El_Marta Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) Well, to a certain extend we all put on the "dark sides" symbols when we fly historically accurate axis skins (or soviet depending on perspective). But imho it has a different quality if you use this kind of avatar. After all the photo shows the ambiguity or banality of the situation: some young guy being a member of an organisation renowned for its toughness, ruthlessness and inhumanity being just a young guy having fun. Perhaps not such a bad choice of a photo as one might think at a first glance. Cross post. No worries. Edited October 26, 2017 by [DBS]El_Marta 1

Boomerang Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 My two favourite rides atm: Nice shots! The middle one looks like it needs a frame on a lounge room wall or something. Thank you Fink

SCG_ItsDrifter Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 LSAC fly-out on Random expert - (Consisting of the JG52 wing) (109) Due to little resistance in the south, we decided to take 190's out of safranov to drop hell on a fortified position due east of home base, we end up getting intercepted by (3) Migs resulting in a forced bomb drop, and engaged in a fierce dogfight, with no losses, and only 1 forced RTB due to holes on the port wing, The remaining 190's headed north from the confrontation and came across a train bringing supply's to a Russian airbase, here are some of the screenshots, Enjoy!

busdriver Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I love the Bf-110 collision damage model. I had a slight case of "target fixation" whilst attempting to take out an AA gun. Ivan was too busy running away to watch my escapade. Bugger...I expected more drag from the crumpled mess I made of prop #1 spinning out there. I successfully shut it down (not as quickly as prudent) and got her trimmed up. I waved to the rest of the schwarm as I made a beeline home. I cruised back at 300 meters and 320 km/h. Passing abeam the touchdown point, I had slowed below 300 then lowered the gear in the turn to final. I overshot final a bit not wanting to test my luck with a tight turn. 200 km/h down final was pretty easy...well it is winter in Russia after all...August in the Kuban would be more of a challenge, and less forgiving of my gross buffoonery.
