Nope. There'S some damage effects in there but they're fairly rudimentary. I've had a wing come off revealing the internal structure a little,; broken the rear of my fuselage off; cracked a wing near the wingroot, but there's lots of other things to add. Naturally, I've slammed into the ground at high speed too, but that just has a little stand-in fire and smoke as yet.

Prop damage doesn't seem to be modelled yet?

 No.  Some collisions are, like a prop strike on a runway, but that seems to destroy your engine, not the prop.  Collisions with stuff other than the ground is not modeled, like those Pe-2s for example.

The skins are in the game folder as .DDS files. I just opened them with Photoshop to check them out.

My photoshop doesnt open the .DDS files. Im doing it wrong I suppose, but why?

No guns for the first couple of weeks. Just as well, it gives us time to learn to handle the LaGG before we take it into combat.

I just selected mission 02 then sped up time 16x and waited some time. Ability to set time would be nice, dusk/dawn is my favourite part of day.

I destroyed my landing gear for fun and then went for a ride. It was challenging steering from the outside view but it went well, lucky me.

Here is 1 from me. It is not good us amezing pictures u guys take but my pc is crap, old core 2 duo, but game works 35fps, so i m heppy for now, and dont look bad at all. We will see when we see more planes what heppens with my pc (but i will sell kidny and get new pc buy the relise  of the game). It is looking wery wery good and it is an alpha version. Good times upon us. Gr8 work team.

had a short play with the IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad Flight Sim and captured some video footage. This isn't an epic or very well edited video, just various clips of footage captured using the current build of the Software.

 

About halfway through I did some night time startups and the flame effect is truly beautiful...so I recorded it from a few angles

 

Video is currently encoding but once it is ready, here's the link

Can anyone address the issues that I am having now? Flew the plane without following correct procedures.

- The virtual HuD is not working.

- I don't know how to read the speedometer gauge if it's located at second from the top left (altmeter, manifold pressure, temperatures etc all fine). Yes I flew the plane without actually knowing the speed and thus landed with excess speed.

- There isn't a lever or any indicator to show if the flaps are fully deployed or retracted cos they're hidden from pilot view at bottom. Need to use ext cams F2-F4 which is similar to DCS.
