rare_bird Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Still totally amazed by the lighting of this sim! One can't get enough of taking screenshots. And yes I know, landing lights are to be switched off after take-off, but they look so nice (...and btw: how low is low?) 1
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 And yes I know, landing lights are to be switched off after take-off, but they look so nice (...and btw: how low is low?) That, and the Po-2 is a work of art! You can clearly see the devs have put their love into the model!
sturmkraehe Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 At Dawn... VERY NICE. HIGH FIVE. The slat on the left side (right wing) of the La looks wrong. The inner gap seems too big while there is negative gap on the outer side 1
LLv34_Flanker Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 S! The leading edge slat slides slightly outwards in the La-5. Not straight forward as in the Bf109.
James_Workshop Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Got a few shots of the F4 while experimenting with texture filtering settings. The 109 is such a good-looking plane, I almost feel guilty when shooting them down. Edited May 15, 2014 by Hattersly
Rjel Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Remember not so long ago when some guys were saying how boring the landscape was/will be? Man, just doing some sightseeing in different parts of the map shows some incredible detail. The ground textures are simply amazing to me.
Rjel Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Nice pic LukeFF. I'm hoping at some point we can get the large plumes of steam we see in RL gun camera film when an engine get shot full of holes. But for now the explosions are looking really good.
DrDag Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Did a little ride in the stuka for some bombing training. Approaching Stalingrad Train yard looks like a good test target I missed the target by a mile -.-, back home 1

Jade_Monkey Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I wish i could upload the original file but it's too big, it will not allow me to upload to the forum. Taken @ 3440x1440 resolution in my brand new LG 34UM95, you can see the radiator mesh in such detail, it's just amazing. Great job on the details! 1
Jade_Monkey Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Errbody being shot down The scenarios are just beautiful. It's just worth flying to look at the landscape in this game. I wish they had summer maps too but I really love what they did witht he scenarios and also with the clouds. They are the best looking clouds of any game I have ever seen.

DD_Arthur Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Is that unedited? Hello Picchio, not quite sure what you mean by "unedited". If you mean is that one single mission, then the answer is no - unfortunately. I'm a member of what is still quite a large IL2 1946 coop squad. I made this vid and a few others - to show the guys in our squad who can't run BoS the current state of development. I story board what I want to do. In this case I wanted to show the La-5 and Pe-2 and their landing characteristics, Stalingrad at low-level and how well the sim performs with smoke and particle effects, the La-5 as a development from the LaGG-3 and I threw in a couple of '109's for a bit of a shoot out . Then I create scenerios in the QMB, record them and then play them back from different viewpoints, angles, etc. whilst running Nvidia ShadowPlay. Then I compress all the ShadowPlay tracks together in Windows Moviemaker and load it up to YouTube. It all takes place at eight o'clock in the morning and the Purple Haze is courtesy of Fifi's SweetFX settings.
Dakpilot Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 BoS at 50% To me one of the nicest BOS vids yet, thanks for posting Cheers Dakpilot

Jade_Monkey Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 That's cool! That bridge will surely be a nice setting for a mission!
Uufflakke Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Nice detail that bridge. But for some reason the engineer thought it was necessary to make a hole in tree trunk for railing of bridge.

Before we are getting lost in translation, with 'railing' I meant this part of bridge: But let's get back to screenshots. Edited June 5, 2014 by Uufflakke

Rjel Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I've been looking for a bridge to fly under. I found what was left of one near Stalingrad. I didn't take a picture of it, but there is a clipping issue with the support beams of the roadbed as my plane passed through them cleanly. I made it cleanly through in picture number two. It looks like in the third picture my left wingtip might have passed through the column too. But in the last picture, I clearly splattered myself all over the landscape by hitting the bridge dead on.
Jade_Monkey Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 That's awesome! I used to do the same in BF1942 with fighters. Now I'm definitely gonna try it, although with a smaller plane Great shots and nice try! In my book you already made it to the other side!
