cripplehawk Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 (edited) My character's (Nikolai Safonov) first day in combat in the 629th IAP in August 28th, 1942., one of the few squadrons that have an I16s still in frontline service near Stalingrad. That day he made 2 sorties A lot of his fellow pilots were Killed in Action. Safonov himself was wounded and had to bail out. Putting him out of combat for a week.
