Why doesn't Oil Pressure ever drop flying inverted ?

This applies to pretty much all aircraft I tested, but the Spitfire is a good example...

It can be flown inverted for as long as we wish, eventually starting to lose the engine, but the oil pressure gauge always indicating no variation at all ?

Systems modeling simplification ?

It takes exactly 15 seconds for the rpms to start to become irregular in the Spitfire. In RL I do not think this is an oil pressure effect but a fuel starvation effect.  Real 109s for example are not supposed to be flown inverted for more than 10 seconds, IIRC.

As to the oil pressure gauge: I am sure you are right, it is a simplification, there is no actual oil, or actual g, or actual gauge.  ;)   I have no doubt that the 15 seconds effect is scripted and does it's job well enough, although it might be a bit charitable in allowing the fuel flow to resume.

S!

Test some other planes and be surprised ;)

Another question, I would like to ask is, why don't the gunners drop?

For example the waist gunner in a Heinkel. Seeing Pe2s flying inverted with both gunners shooting, is always a funny observation.

Because he's strapped to his seat or has a safety line keeping him from falling out?

Not all planes had these for the gunners, the IL2 1942 is an example of that. Anyways, its something that isnt modelled, heck, gunners are able to  snipe you after you shot the bomber down, I had some instances where I shot off the wing of Pe2s and while the plane was spiralling down the gunner was able to shoot and hit me

The belly gunner of the Pe2 surely is not strapped, as he also was shooting the side machinegun.

Maybe the logs are bugged but it could be even worse - kill gunners and turrets still can shoot back...

In my experience this is "the ability" of all (zombie) turrets no matter on which plane. Only, Soviet ones tend to have more powerful guns.

I had one like that, but it was on single player. I could see very clearly the enemy gunner dead, but he was still shooting. But it was many patches ago, I thought they fixed it, because since then, it didnt happen again with me.
