I'm not a tank man, but oh my god these are a lot of fun. Do you guys recommend Tank Crew?

I hope in the future some western tanks are delved into, I'm a big fan of the Comet.

I have it and the new tanks are great.  The full product will be a blast with the higher res map, etc.

If you want more products you have to support the current ones.

If you like the free ones, I'd say so, yes.
But one thing to realize is that they've made it so you can't move the turret in the commander position. So you'll have to change positions quite often (It's not too annoying).

I never turned the turret in commander position in the Pz III. I always locked it in twelve o'clock position, to have the free view with TrackIR. Second advantage for me was, I always knew, when entering the gunner position, where my gun points to.

I love it, however it’s very barebone as it is now, yes it’s in alpha.

For the moment I cross my fingers for a Steel Fury type of game with all the bells and whistles the IL2 engine can offer.

There are very few good tank simulators and even fewer when we talk about WW2 tanks.

While it isn't realistic, you can drive while in the gunners position. That is, looking through the range gun view. At least I'm able to in the Tiger. I have yet to drive the Russian tank.

To the OP, yes it is recommended. Even in our current flight sim maps it is enjoyable. I've learned more about the map detail driving the tanks than I could ever imagine flying over them even at low level.

The commander position has no function yet. Just bind 1,2,3,4 to crew positions and switching is easy and quick.

For the time being, the commander position (at least) allows you to open the lid and peek out of the tank. While exposing your commander can be very dangerous in certain situations, it is the best way to look around fast. (Hopefully, the commander gets some decent binoculars in the future...) Moreover, while the lid is open, you're looking around from considerably higher position than anyone else of the crew, so you can see better what's behind smaller obstacles...

It's great! There is a lot of work ahead but you can already get a taste of how good it's going to be.

Right now we only have a couple of tank models and some different shells. A lot of the gameplay functionalities  are not there yet.

However, it's still very early and these devs don't half ass anything.

Look's beautiful, feel's right. Like an improved version of Panzer Elite.  Developers got a lot on their plate and this need's time to percolate, so patience , patience.

That being said I look forward to next update.

I have never played any multi-player PC game. Single player since the Internet started.

But, I plan to get a head-set.

Standing-by , awaiting orders.

Please make more tank missions, JM. I really enjoy them. Those hidden artilleries jolt the bejesus outta me. Some are so well hidden I still haven't found where they are.

Have you tried any of mine? ?

Missions for T-34, Pz IIIL, Kv1s as Player.

Hold The Line Series Of Tank Missions

Are you kidding me? Of course, man! I’ve been playing your hold the line series since the vanilla tank days. Could you possibly do a big tank melee one of these days? Just some mindless shoot ‘em & blow up stuff??

Im going to wait till they add some more AI improvements to tanks. Things like not running into the water, crossing bridges etc.

Otherwise its alvery frustrating toncreate these missions.

As a new Tankcrew owner, I am enjoying it and I hope it develops into a simulation of driving a tank. At the moment the Tiger in T34 vs Tiger is the closest to reality. To quote a good friend of mine speaking about T34 vs Tiger, who has been in and worked on the Tiger at the Tank Museum "this is very close to reality".

T34 vs Tiger should be the tank driving and behaviour bar that Tankcrew should aspire too :)

I am enjoying it and glad to have contributed towards the cause.
