FZG_Merlin Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I've been trying the very early version before xmas, but then I started flying RC and didnt try Il2 until the other night. Now im having fun dogfighting and bombing.. Anyway... here are my questions avout the things that bother me most: is the trim still not modelled yet ? or am i doing something wrong ? are radiator, pitch and mixture modelled yet ? Is there a video somewhere, to start the engine without autostart ? Thanks a lot ! this simulator is improving greatly and im really impressed
dburne Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Trim - is modeled in the 109 - however it is stabilizer adjustment, rather than " trim". Assign a key/button for horizontal stabilizer adjustment and you will be able to trim the pitch in the 109. The trim tabs in the Lagg are not yet modeled. Radiator, Pitch, and Mixture - Yes , and they work in the Lagg . Currently in the 109, these are only on automatic. Video - Here is a good first look at the Lagg by Requiem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxovZk-EfRo Personally, I run with everything set for manual start, as I am sure most do - but I do have " warmed up engine" checked so I don't have to wait for it to warm up after starting. Note: After starting the Lagg and before starting take off run, you will want to be sure to set the prop pitch to full fine ( lever all the way forward), else you will find yourself chasing your tail trying to get rolling. Pretty common thing that gets overlooked and causes that WTH moment. Hope this helps, and have fun! Edited January 26, 2014 by dburnette

von_Tom Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The forum search function will help with questions especially in the early access forums. Good that you're enjoying it though. Hood
