Fang333333 Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Folks, I am a long time forum member. Originally I bought the Stalingrad and Moscow through steam. I sent away my computer to get it repaired and when I got it back Steam says they have revoked my game keys per the request of the developer. I have a good $300+ invested in this thing! What's going on? Perhaps what's worse is I preordered Bodenplatte and now I'm in the dust. I own every single release of this thing and started preordering before Kuban. Even my some addon planes are missing from my purchases... I cant get in to the sim!!!!! I'm freaked out
Fang333333 Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 What does this mean!? I just logged on to Il-2 for the first time in months and I have no idea why this is happening. Steam has no phone support and only general preautomated answers.

I have written tech support and recieved no response. I have no way of playing what I bought and no idea when or what I should be doing.
[PFR]Sarpalaxan Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Some Stolen Keys surfaced on Blackmarket sites like G2A. And they revoked those wich aperantley got some People upset. Since you bought them trough Steam this is propably just a Mistake.

I have preordered everything and continue to purchase straight from the site now. My question is, 1. Becuase the "revoked" keys are the main programs " Stalingrad and moscow delux" how can I fly my preordered Boldenplate and Kuban? 2. F/JG300_Gruber Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) Maybe you could try uninstall the steam edition then download the launcher from the site and install the game straight without steam ? Not sure how it react on the login page but it is worth giving it a shot. I can't help much with the support, I know from last DD that part of the team is on holidays. Godspeed Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 (edited) First time saying anything about this revoke issue because i had all bought on steam or il2sturmovik.com and had no issues. But... They should have not go overzealous because this purge also hurt themselfs. Dont get me wrong im not saying that they did not do right thing. What i mean is that maybe they should have acted bit more careful. Im sure support will solve this Point is... You should not have to do this if they had done better job to solve this issue. To me its all the same, not saying its right or wrong, I just cannot keep up. I just feel I have demonstrated my loyalty with the MANY purchases straight from the site (11 purchases vs the 4 steam purchases). Its ironic becuase I prepurchased Bodenplatte to both, get it first AND support the site. Now I get treated like a pirate. Thank you for the suggestions fellow pilots, I am just afraid of losing the 100s of hours by using installer. I also have not even had so much as a response from support. I do feel a response is warranted by now. If you have a PM recommendation please let me know. Tomorrow is day 4 and I am feeling my patience begin to deteriorate. Fang333333 Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 Well I never thought it would come down to this and I hate to be one of those people, but I still have not recieved so much as a response from anyone. I've decided that come monday If noone from support has contacted me, I'm going to contact the bank to reverse the purchases. (Yes I can do this becuase of my states laws) I'm not trying to be difficult, but its quite a bit of money to be tied in the ethos of eternity. Its also the last thing I want to do, I enjoy this community and the sim immensely but I can no longer play it.

That maybe not the best thing to do, but it might be worth posting something in General Discussions for better visibility, with thorough explanation about your case. Jason browse the forum sometimes, maybe he'll be able to tell what is going on with customer support. I just hope that it won't be moved back here straight away by the moderators. You can also try to PM him (in theory a better way) but the one I sent him in june is still not read, so I won't expect this way to work any better. If I were you, I would be asking that repair shop a few very pointed questions. 1
Fang333333 Posted August 15, 2018 Author Posted August 15, 2018 Lol yeah thats what I thought, but I found out the Steam "revoked" is a known issue. Supposedly, according to the post by Jason, everyone is supposed to be issued new keys becuase its hard for them to prove maliciousness. I know in my case I only got the 3 keys for steam then purchased EVERYTHING else from the site directly. But it raises my eyebrow even more becuase if you are going to revoke keys then reissue why bother? I'm not saying this to be a prick or nasty, but this whole thing has really got me thinking twice about any more preorders or purchases. If they ever even respond...
Fang333333 Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 Just an update. Support has not responded but a user gifted me Satlin and moscow so I am now in the process of running and exchanging data from the Steam version to the launcher version.
