Battle of Bodenplatte

Hello I just purchased Battle of Bodenplatte as my first and only map. I know this is early access but is there a way I can still do a Multiplayer Coop Mission? My guess is that I need to create one and then it will work? Please confirm? I have not played IL2 since the 1946 version.

Congrats on buying IL-2! Currently Bodenplatte has no map, but you can still play all Multiplayer maps. I’m not sure if it’s the exact same with co-op. I do know that currently, you have very limited aircraft on multi and single player.

Thanks for the reply Angus26, but I am a bit confused. If I do not own any other edition (Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Kuban, Battle of Moscow, how can I possibly join any multiplayer map?

You need one of the other campaigns.

With no problem. Regardless of what you own, all IL-2 maps are available to all players. It's the aircraft that you'll have a problem with... If the server doesn't have Bodenplatte related content you won't be able to fly.

 

But joining MP itself is no problem. I think Berloga Dogfight and Duel has all of the Bodenplatte content now in-play.
