heyo,

like many other here, ive played every previous IL2 Game and thought they where great simulation and really immersive.

But this is just the candy-cream :).

The feeling when the plane rattles from the engine, the wind sounds, engine sounds.... whole flight behaviour...

totally superb so far. It took me 2 hours to propery take off without killing engine, crashing and whatnot.

Altho, i play with keyboard and mouse, which is quite a pain tbh. Still, im very impressed with this so far... great work.

You've played previous IL-2 sims and you are still playing with mouse and keyboard? :-D

Welcome to the wonderful World of BoS, though if I were you and wanted to get the most out of the flying experience I'd get a joystick as you're making everything a lot harder for yourself.

If you want something decent fot not a lot of money, then the Thrustmaster T1600 is one of the best.

nice, thanx. Yea lol, somehow i always played with keyboard and mouse (previous il2 games) and it worked okayish for me. But with this, i think im gonna need decend joystick for sure. Keeping the plane under control with keyboard is just a pain.

Yes get the thrustmaster T16000m. I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog but I prefer the 16000m in combination with Warthog throttle.

I'll ditto the thrustmaster T16000. It's a great joystick, but it's also ambidextrous, so good news for those of us in the "Leonardo-Michelangelo-Obama-Borg-Federer-hendrix" camp.

But the "tackle" you've got in your hand is a tiny part of the story. More or less everyone on this forum will say to you that the biggest upgrade you could make is to join a "squadron".

Obviously mine (see my sig) is the best, but alternatives are available...

Joking aside, even if you don't have the hardware "necessary" (and there's a looooong expensive road down that path):

Human voices to help you and guide you are the bestestestestest upgrade you need!

This has me intrigued. Do you prefer the T16000m because of the lower deflection forces, if so did you try removing the stick spring first?

I ask as I also have a warthog but am considering whipping the spring out to try it.

I removed the big spring but it is too loose for my flavor. I have the problem that my Warthog joystick stucks (with a sound) with very tiny movements. I already lubricated the inside and it feels a bit smoother but not enough... I can flight much more precise with my T16000m.

I've had many joysticks, never interested in F16 or A10 sticks because I play WW2 only. Thrustmaster T16000 is the best stick I ever had.

I have the CH Pro Throttle and  I really like it. It has hotas and many, many buttons. CH flight sticks are great as well. Just my opinion.
