Career mode AI wingmen collisions

In my Kuban Spitfire career mode, 75% of the time I lose 2 or 3 out of 5 wing men shortly after rendezvousing with the A-20 bombers. As the wing men turn 180 degrees in a circle to follow the A-20s, they start bunching up into a vertical column, collide, crash and bail out. Sometimes I'm left with a single wing man for the rest of the mission. It happens too, but not as often, with my P-39 career when they rendezvous with bombers.

 

I'm having to restart the missions multiple times and I'm extremely lucky if I lose only one wing man. Is this something the will likely improve in the near future? At the moment, it's almost unplayable.
