Skipper- Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 (edited) I am working on a Spitfire Mk.VB skin and have downloaded the WW2 RAF font (from here) but Photoshop CC will not not let me use it (Could not complete your request because of a program error). I would be really happy if someone could provide me a working copy of the RAF WW2 font for Spitfires. Thank you Edited August 6, 2018 by Skipper-
RNAS10_Oliver Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 (edited) Hmm mine are the same as those I believe, at least judging from the names, I do get that error when trying to use them in "faux bold" but otherwise they work fine on my photoshop cc. I am not using these as they come however, am converting the layer to shape and tinkering, as am finding that the fonts not an perfect match for the codes/serials in the reference images I am using. Here are some links to download mine for what its worth, https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_M1EYvkYKFOmgSMV1uEfKXy6VfWGQ107?usp=sharing, maybe its the download corrupted or something I dunno. DetCord12B Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 It probably does work. You're likely just not using it properly given it's formatted stylization requirements. Disable caps-lock or the forced upper-case format via the character options (lowercase only). Test it. Create a new text-box with no options using the TTF as intended via it's install and usage instructions. No one ever reads the instructions so who cares, right? Try these if a no go. They're only seven posts below yours. That search function tho, crazy hard...
Skipper- Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 I tried your download as well after posting, same error. Not sure what is happening here, I've never had this problem before with a font.
Pierre64 Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Hi, if you are a Windows 10 user, did you try to install the font with administrator rights ?
Skipper- Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 I tried everything without sucess. I rebuilt the font in Font Forge and now it works fine. Thanks all for your tips..
