So I bought the game.  Did anyone else?  Can't find any in multiplayer.

Click Multiplayer, Click Dogfight. There are always a few online even off peak. Where and when are you logging on?

I am clicking as shown above.  The joined the WWI servers and no one online.  Is there a particular server for flying circus?

'Shooting Stars' who've run RoF servers for longer than I've been playing, have Normal and Expert servers up. There was one more - don't know if it's still there or not..

And FCtpoia will appear any day now

 

It's a quiet start for MP and there's not often anyone on when I look. But Spad vs Dr1 isn't a compelling dogfight for most, so it'll get better when there's a few more planes, and some front line of course !

Ah, needed to clarify FC. You’re in general topic so there was room for misunderstanding. Yeah, not a whole lot yet but that will change. BoS was quite the slow start as well but seems healthy now.

Yes, the matchup is not particularly exiting (Spad vs Dr.1). Apparently the Lapino map also does not have the same lighting as the Kuban one, and spotting in this matchup (fast plane vs slow plane) is not particularly good.

 

If the servers start to also offer blue vs red missions on the other hand, with both planes on both sides, and move to Kuban (I saw a server with the Kuban map), I think we could see more people online.

SS Normal is mixed planes.. but you'll know that Wolfy !

Unlike their RoF offerings where the ai pretty much fly into the middle for an almighty ruck, their FC ai seem to be harder to catch up with.

And Spads have a tendency to disappear into the distance when ruffled..

Ah, "Shooting Stars Normal". I might never been there, because I never saw a mixed mission in IL-2 or missions with icons. I might be wrong, but I never saw an option to choose both planes at Shooting Stars (flew a couple times). And it is the Lapino map and the ping is too high (New Zealand I think). 

 

And Fly, if you are implying that I'm flying with another moniker  I can assure you that I fly under SeaW0lf or SeaW0lf_Bis (the second is usually for bombers and recons, and I think I had another SeaW0lf variation) in all servers of all games for years, be it ROF, IL-2 or DCS (I think CloD as well). I authorize any developer to disclose this information. I think just in 2013, when I started flying MP, that I used an unknown moniker for a week or two in some instances and did not like it. I'm not sure, but I think I already started MP under SeaW0lf. At least since people know me as SeaW0lf I always fly as SeaW0lf.

 

I'm a simple, straightforward guy. What I do online, I have to back in the forum and vice versa. If I screw on DCS (or not), you can look me up at ROF or Il-2 because I will be there. I like this way. It makes my life simpler  

 

I might bite my tong and use this artifice in the future, but so far I like the way I'm doing and I think the probability of changing it is rather unlikely.

I'm not sure what you can do with Il-2 (it does not have the profile tab), but at Wings of Liberty we often hear about people with multiple monikers being accused of things. And then players list all the monikers they have on the servers (or something like it), so I assume people can change it.
