Newbie - Purchasing Game Editions Out of Order and Patch Updates

Hi Folks,

 

I currently have BOS and BOM installed and patched to 3.005. I want to buy Flying Circus. Two questions:

 

1. Do I have to buy BOK and/or BOB before buying and installing Flying Circus? Is there any advantages to buying and installing in order of game edition release?
2. If I buy a pre-release version, do I then automatically have access to the full regular release version and any subsequent patches as they become available?

A benefit of buying BOS, BOM, or BOK before FC, is that you will have a full game to play from the get go (campaigns, careers, a full planeset etc). FC content will trickle in as the devs release it, but it will probably be bare bones for a while. 

 

If its only WWI that gets you going though go for it.
