New member - questions about mixing Steam- and Il-2 Store purchases

Hello everybody, I am a newcomer to Il-2.

During the last 3 months, on Steam, I purchased RoF content (all what was available), Cliffs of Dover - and BOS recently. Now, I received promo codes for ROF, and a 25%-OFF code.

Now I want to purchase BOK, the Premium Edition, here, using the 25% promo code. But HOW does a purchase here integrate with the Steam version of BOS?

1.) Does a "IL-2 Store" BOK combine fully with "Steam" BOS, in other words, can I fly the "Steam" BOS Yak-1 series 69 also in "IL-2 Store" BOK, just as it is possible when getting both title on Steam?

2.) Does "IL-2 Store" BOK (or any other title of the series) always install separately, or can it be installed into the Steam BOS folder?

3.) Do any purchases of the series, either via Steam or here, fully combine when playing?

Yes, English isn't my first language…

3!

When you install IL-2 you download all content and the purchase of for example BoK only "unlocks" that content. It does not matter if you get BoK on Steam or the Store (besides Steam taking a bit of the money from the devs).

Small edit: For the full integration you have to link your Steam and IL-2 account on the IL-2 website. Takes no time at all.

Welcome Hotschi..

1.yes it all integrates into one package. I have BOS on steam ..and BOM and collector planes from store,I soon will be picking up BOK from here on the store....It all comes together in your BOS steam directory.

2. Yep it'll install into your BOS steam directory

3. Yep it all comes together as one package.

Hope this helps best regards

You can access everything you have, from the store or from steam, through your steam account once the two accounts are 'merged'. It should prompt you to merge accounts the first time you log in after purchasing something. This announcement should tell you how it will go:

Once you merge everything through steam, you should always access your game through Steam as everything will be there. In theory you could continue using the standalone launcher but your steam-purchased content wouldn't be there.

Just make sure you purchase it under the same account name you made on Steam, follow the instructions to merge the accounts, and all of the stuff you purchase in the store will be available through your steam install.

NOTE: If you buy something in the Il2 Store, it will not be listed in your Steam purchases. However, it will still be accessible from your steam account.

Three very helpful replies within 16 minutes, and all questions answered, even the ones I forgot to ask! (I already merged the Steam/Il-2 accounts)
