Right now, on both sides, the deputy commander of the unit (at the start of a new career) is the 3rd-highest rank (Senior Lieutenant / Oberleutnant) instead of the 2nd-highest rank (Captain / Hauptmann). The result is that there are pilots holding the rank of Captain or Hauptmann at career start who are not the deputy commander.
