Il2 tanks

Hi, I played the original il2, then 1946 and all its variations and mods. When cliffs of dover was issued my squad broke up and i moved on to other games. While browsing youtube I found some brilliant vids regarding the new tank il2 but I am completely out of touch. Before i just dive straight in I wonder if theres a sqaud being formed or servers ? is it integrated with the other air versions, is it modded? like I say I really need basic help lol so if theres anyone or a group doing this can someone point me in the right direction. When I play I am a very active player and built hundreds of missions in the original games....took months but I loved it.

There are also several other threads about the tank here. I like it so far. I'd recommend it based on what I've seen so far in early access.
