RedRider Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 I noticed that yesterday as well. Must have been in the hotfix. Unfortunately, I and at least one other have been getting sound distortions/loss of engine and weapon noises in multiplayer... doesn't resolve until restarting game. Worth the loss of head bump, IMO, especially in the 109F4 (the hit box is really sensitive in that bird).

Same here, although I don't use VR. Only happens in longer online sessions, and yes, restarting helps. As to sound distortions, my first thought was that my headset picked up static electricity as there was a constant white noise in the background, but later on it also happened with desktop speakers. The loss of engine sound was quite strange, cutting back on the throttle gave back the engine sound, but as I increased throttle, the engine sound gradually faded away, being fully muted at 50%. Please check next time you have this problem, and report it if you can confirm.
JonRedcorn Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 (edited) I thought I noticed some improvements myself but was unsure, the yak1b 127 now allows me to move all the way into the gunsight, but the normal yak 1 69 doesn't and neither do others, I thought the FW190 A5 had improved its limits as well. It's hard to say. I noticed the bump noise seemed to be toned down though. If all the planes had the limits of the yakb-127 I'd be elated. Only problem with that bird is you still cant stick your head outside the cockpit with the canopy open while in the air which is so strange since you can while on the ground. That's by design and was implemented about 2 years ago? The faster the plane goes, the less you can stick your head out into the air stream. Fly really slowly and you will get your head further out. Prior to that, there were clips of pilots flying around with the canopy open checking 6 with their head extended right out the window at 4-500kph. Brings us back full circle to that whole thing about the small percentage of people that abuse game mechanics to get an advantage (and is why we don't get our VR head limit removed).
