LeeHarvey Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) This is my Faux-Seafire skin for the Spitfire Mk.IXe. Built on ICDP's official template, I took liberties (read, made it all up) with the lettering, though I did try to somewhat follow the real life numbering/lettering conventions of the Fleet Air Arm late/post war. I made the alpha from scratch and it's highly detailed with sunken rivets and lines, shiny oil streaks, gleaming bare metal and dull exhaust and grime. Added together with the official normalmap that comes with ICDP's template, the differences in reflection give the surfaces of the aircraft a photo realistic quality sometimes lacking in the official skins with their overall high gloss finish. I hope you enjoy the skin. The version I have uploaded is devoid of personal markings, as in the screenshots below. Here's the link to DL the skin: Seafire (Spitfire IXe skin) Note: You will still need to download the normalmap from ICDP's Spitfire Mk.IXe template here. Once downloaded, extract the Seafire_4k_public.7zip file to your 1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\SpitfireMkIXe folder. Edited October 1, 2018 by LeeHarvey 4
