MajorMagee Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Messing around this evening with in-game MSAA (4x) and Reshade FXAA for additional anti-aliasing, with a Linear High Pass Filter for sharpening. In-game MSAA costs about 10 FPS relative to just using in game FXAA, but it does look quite a bit smoother with less motion shimmer. The Reshade effects only cost an additional 2 FPS but really make the image pop. 3

MajorMagee Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Missed me by that much! I've been working on refining my effects graphics this morning. I've got the HE explosions looking pretty good now. I've repurposed the texture I created (n_snowspray_su.dds) to make the track dirt animation less red for the dirt part of these ground explosions. I also modified the shell fragments to blend in better. 2

In-game MSAA (4x) and Reshade FXAA for additional anti-aliasing, with a Linear High Pass Filter for sharpening, and Magic HDR to bring up the shadows to enhance detail visibility. All the programmatic work was already done for the British and American squads to work in game, so all that was needed were a few additional models, and their associated skins. And how is it that Flying Circus has no infantry? Is that correct? How is it possible to not have infantry in a WWI sim? Maybe there could be a at least a generic German infantry for both WWI and WW2 + Russian infantry for WW2.
