II./JG27_Rich Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) I remember they pulled this one out of the water a few years ago. Keep them coming. There are a couple of F models being restored also http://luftfartsmuseum.no/follow-project-messerschmitt-bf-109-yellow-3/ Edited January 24, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
Sternjaeger Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 in static conditions perhaps, but don't hold too much hope for airworthy ones..
Heliopause Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 And also a two-seater in the making... interesting! http://www.meiermotors.com/de/news.html (It's Buchon D-FMVS receiving a DB 605)
Sternjaeger Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 now that's clever, a two seater means you can train more people, even if the CoG is slightly different of course..
DD_bongodriver Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I have heard rumour of a 2 seat Hurricane in the works,
DD_bongodriver Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) a few operators did field mods (I really hope they got full state authority approval or someone here might be a bit upset ), never a production version. Russian Edited January 24, 2014 by DD_bongodriver
Sternjaeger Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 blimey, open cockpit and 4 HS 20mm, that must have been LOUD! a few operators did field mods (I really hope they got full state authority approval or someone here might be a bit upset ) LOL
II./JG27_Rich Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) I have heard rumour of a 2 seat Hurricane in the works, Don't hold your breath it won't be flying .....Just getting back at Sternjaeger now that's clever, a two seater means you can train more people, even if the CoG is slightly different of course.. They are so homely though But we also have these two along with the five others that are flying now..I don't count Buchons..I guess most of them are but you put a DB on them and they're not anymore as far as I'm concerned http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbird-news/meier-motors-resume-jerry-yagens-messerschmitt-bf109-g2-4.html http://www.meiermotors.com/en/aircraft/messerschmitt-bf109/130-messerschmitt-bf109-g2-4.html?start=1 http://hangar10.de/en/news-section-en/168-bf-109-g6 Edited January 25, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
MarcoRossolini Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Gah, to be honest I've always regarded twin seater versions of aircraft like the Spit and the like to be a stain on the aircraft... To me it's just a way to ruin the look of a good aircraft...
II./JG27_Rich Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Yes I think 109 G12s are homely as hell ...But when you think for a second they may be very useful in teaching new pilots how to take off and land them. By new I mean pilots with thousands of hours that are new to the 109. Edited January 28, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
