Aircraft startup change

Hey just wondering if there has been a change to the way we start our aircraft... some note “put fuel to rich before start”. 

And I’m talking expert...

Usually it it does it by it self..

Yesterday I couldnot start engine on SpadXIII. 

when pressing E once, nothing happend

when pressed and hold the propeller turned but didnt ignite.

 

something missed??

Make the mixture 100% and then press start.  Immediately after take off start leaning mixture gradually........
