I´m in a Moskow career 25 dec, next day I was set up for a CAS mission around 14.20. Morning mission was finished, mine was next but another pilot showed up. No big deal. Next day again CAS in the afternoon, exchanged again, next two days no missons due to weather, 30th and 31 exchanged again! What! Am I persecuted by the State Attorney?

Then on jan 1st 1942, back in the saddle with a brand new "Order of the Red Star" my second and promotion to Captain. Phew, got a few days leave after some intense fighting I guess!?
