As a tiny nitpick you don't really notice in game; I found a small part where the textures don't align. This is using the RAF 4k skin from the skin pack:

Love the template. I've already made a whole family of skins from it. If I have one point of constructive criticism it would be the colors of the RAF roundels. They seem overbright and saturated. Obviously it's something we can fix on our own when making skins, I just thought I would mention it. It doesn't detract from the quality of the template overall.

 

P.S. Why do the official skins always have super shiny alpha layers?

I have a question in regards to the template file.

 

Basically, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!? lol

 

I've downloaded your file (very nice looking btw, I look forward to doing some real work with it) whenever I export a test file to my IL2 Directory and open the game it says the file is to large and omits the skin from the rendered image on screen leaving me with MANY parts missing and a really good 3D look at the innards of the aircraft.

 

I started off a little backwards and started making a complicated picture and went more and more simplistic as I was unable to figure out the problem but now i just open the unzipped file and export it and still have the Issue.

 

Any and all help appreciated.

 

p.s. I've only ever made one other skin in the past for the 109 F4

The stencils are made from a serif face font, but the originals were sans serif as far as I know.

I noticed there is a PTO Spitfire Mk.IX. Would it be possible to get this one as well: 457 Sqn. A58-606 / ZP-W (Sqn. Ldr. Bruce Watson) | Morotai Island S.W. Pacific 1945 ? Was one of first Spitfire models I built as a kid.
