senseispcc Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 If you take the region of Stalingrad city on the 3 Stalingrad maps to make WW1 scenarios and compare the result with picture of some city like Ypres or Verdun after some artillery bombardments, you get a nearly perfect match. I find also the two first planes of the WW1 game a real perfection in modeling and immersion. Thanks to this great refreshment of ROF how was a real treat but this is still a progress. 1
bzc3lk Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Texture the map green like May-Bugs excellent Moscow map and I think you may have a plausible stand in.
senseispcc Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 Yes, the summer map of Stalingrad is to "sand" color, but the spring or winter are perfect and Stalingrad in itself is the only non-planned city on that maps we can fly over that is in any level of destruction. And yes there should be in certain region of France more woods but not in all the regions. Around Ypres there where some woods but less than you think or hope. In the region of Verdun there are now more woods than then and there are a lot of hills. And each big city that was for a time near the front ended like Stalingrad in ruins very fast, artillery was very good at it. But until we get the nice maps from the first set of air battle of WW1 I should use this 2, Spring and winter of Battle of Stalingrad and precisely the region around Stalingrad. No?! But thank you for your comment.
