All the tanks stop after a few meters

Just bought Tank Crew today and wanted to try it out quickly. Looked at the controls , WSAD to move around ok, I start the engine and drive forward.

All seems to go well, but after a few meters the tanks stop and the view from the driver's position gets stuck and I can't move the tank anymore.

I can still switch to other positions and fire the guns, but the tanks won't move anymore.

The same happened with all models, be it in quick mission or in single player missions.

Any idea of what could be wrong?

That is just weird to me. I have been and can drive all over the place with no problems. I have no idea why you are experiencing such difficulty. 

 

Have you tried using the cursor keys for driving?

Did you run out of petrol?

Check to make sure you are not pushing button a or shift a, as one of the 2 turns on auto pilot and wierd things happen when you do.

I was having this same issue, Ricky, but only when driving tanks from the driver's position.  Once I realized this, I was simply driving from any of the other positions with no problem.  I believe it was the same whether I was using WASD, or the cursor keys, but I'm not certain & need to verify that.  Anyway I figured this was a bug & would get fixed in time.

However BladeMeister's response turned on a light bulb.  I think he's probably right about the a key being the problem.  I'm going to do some checking on it whenever I can later this week.  Good luck!

If that doesn't solve it, try driving your tanks from the commander's position (or any other if you have the new tanks), and see if that helps.

Thanks all for your replies, haven't had time to test again yet, but will do and let you know. 

I'll try first to drive from the commander's position and then also assign new keys.

Is this thread still open? i cant drive all but like 10 feet when the panzer 3 just stops

I had to reassign the keys to move the tank as the "A" key was assigned to the autopilot. Everything worked fine after that.

Same thing happend to me when I returned from WT and trying to use WASD for flight contrls in IL2. lol
