Is there one?

      If yes;

Where is it?

Thanks.

I believe it should be the "reload guns" key

K. I'll try that.

Isn't there a keyboard map somewhere?   I'm not talking a full fledged manual, but good grief Charlie Brown, they've GOT TO have a document that lists the keys.   Is it identical to ROF?

There are no jams in the game, only misfires (in particular, dud rounds).

Umm...you sure about that?

I was flying a Dr. I and opened fire on a SPAD and my left gun stopped firing while the right one hammered away - and I had just started firing so ammo was not an issue.

Positive. It's always been that way since ROF.

We're jammin'

To think that jammin' was a thing of the past

We're jammin'

And I hope this jam is gonna last

You get gun Jams in RoF. cleared by reloading.

I'm presuming it's the same in FC

No, No, No, NO.

Guys, there is a difference between a jam and a misfire. I used to be a trained armorer on every small arm weapon the US Army uses - everything from 9mm handguns to 40 mm grenade launchers. Furthermore, the ROF difficulty settings even classify what you are seeing as a misfire!

A misfire is typically one of three things: a hangfire, squib load, or a dud round. Of these three, FC and ROF only model dud rounds. What you're doing when you hit the Reload button is cycling out that dud round and chambering a new round, because the gun was unable to cycle the bolt with said dud round.

A jam can be any number of things: failure to feed, failure to extract, double feed, twisted MG belt, split cartridge case, etc. These sorts of weapon malfunctions are much harder to clear than a simple misfire. That's why you see the mallet on the cockpit floor of the Spad 13 - it was to try to force the weapon clear with brute strength.

Thanks for the lesson.

OK. Dud round or gun jam. The gun will not fire until it has been cleared.

The OP was asking for the button that cleared the gun.  So he can resume shooting.

Which of course is configured in the settings page.

Thanks.  So FC is going to use the same keyboard commands as IL2?

Do you by any chance know if CLOD uses this same keymapping?

PS:  NINE PAGES!!!   For a prop sim?   Doesn't seem possible.

Pretty much.

I don't know.

Seeing is believing. Just think of how many axis and buttons one can use for the many craft. I have about forty keymapped on my HOTAS for IL2.

Never enough buttons. ?

CLOD does not use the same key mapping.
