Does gunner position is corect in KV-1 tank?

Hello there,

I think there is some mistake in gunner position, because gunner placed in front of observer periscope ПТ-47 ( which is using by tank commander to observe combat field, so I added pictures where it says about it) how he should be in front of telescope gunsight ТМФ (which is fiksed to the main gun). 962194558_KV-1gunsight.thumb.jpg.6fcaaa5c374b2d9970c7bef4a6e71fd1.jpg

P.S So i hope devs will take atention to this message to fix it, when it would be possible

My understanding was that periscope was the secondary observation and gunnery optic for the Gunner, and the commander used the cupola behind that (periscope allowed the gunner to scan with out traversing the entire turret).

Earlier, basic "heavy" KV-1 had two PT sights. The tank commander, situated right of the gun, had one as a pure observation device.
Changing position to the left side of the turret, the commander's cupola introduced with the KV-1s superseded his PT sight.

Therefore the PT-4-7 sight is placed correctly in front of the gunner.

It should be animated nonetheless. Adding a second pair of properly observing eyes (actually one eye) can be quite an advantage over the T-34 or even Tiger.

Not a feature but utmost important: Including the PT-4-7
All announced tanks of Soviet origin had two sights available to the gunner, the primary TMFD-7 telescopic sight and a PT-4-7 panorama sight. Currently the PT-4-7 is not accessible. It's very important being for example the main observation device available to the TC of a T-34-76 (without cupola).

The gunner in the KV-1S has both the PT and TMFD in front of him, ingame we can only use the TMFD

I think my question is answered by Davesteu.

that's why in russian book says that tank commander/reloader used PT-4-7 sights.

Thanks for reply guys
