Thanks. I wonder if it is a good idea to use the HOTAS with the tanks and if so, what settings other players are using. :)

Thanks, I was looking for something like this  after purchasing yesterday. Exited after fluffing around for  only 20 mins or so.

I was pretty miffed at the lack of even basic instructions or key guides in the form of a readme etc.

Although I have the flu at present and may have missed something and otherwise be in a somewhat pissy mood at present. ?

I am using my Thrustmaster FCS HOTAS with the tanks.

A couple more controls for the list...

RShift+L - Headlights On/Off

LWin+C - Open/Close Vision Slit Armour Plates

Found them in an old guide from 2015. Cheers.

I'll check them out in game and make any chart changes. Thanks. :salute:

Rudder pedals make steering a breeze, and assigning forward/back control to a throttle lever is similarly helpful. Wish one could control gear selection, though.

My biggest questions is ... The 4 movements: forward, Backwards, Right and Left, FBRL. I see two possibilities:

1. Throttle F and B and Joystick R and L

2. Joystick for all the 4 movements FBRL.

The pedals could be used for the turrent R and L or the hull R and L and Ruby suggested.

3. Other combination could be throttle F and B, pedals R and L and Joystick for all the Turret movements.

I cannot try myself until Sept as I don't have my hardware :(

Need help, can´t move the turret. It could be cause I changed the setting. What is the definition for this key / mouse?

The landing light function also enables external lights. In most situations, this might not be a good idea I admit... ?

Salutations,

Default turret control is by the Mouse.

Must take control of the turret from the gunner position. [T] key. The gun must be in the lower position. Then press L Shift + T to move to gunsight.

?

Thanx,

I hope they will add a seperate control tab for Tanks in the future.

Does anyone know how you can move (so not rotate) your head so you can look through the vision slits easier?

After you get your keymapping finished for TANKS, save a copy of your 'input' file. Save in a Tank folder. Then when you want to go tanking... reinstall the input file.

Save a copy of your aircraft input file of course.:salute:

The Reference Chart is great, and your hotas settings are a help too as that is the one I have.  But to set up the hotas, stick, or any other control, you have to scroll through all the Settings tabs (Weapon, Engine, Main, etc) to find each command, so an additional column on your chart with the appropriate tab could be helpful even if you just had the main initial (P, M, E, W..).  Cursor keys to drive the tank are in Main, while the mouse to move the turret seems to be in the Pilot Head Control, and switching crew positions is in Weapon while open/close hatch is in Main.....  aaarrgh!

Thank you very much Thad for the Reference Chart, it's really much appreciated. I have the same suggestion and request as Swampy, i.e. an additional column with a one-letter code for where those bloody commands can be found :)

Salutations,

Yes, your are correct. I put the wrong image in that file. Sorry, I will correct it. Thanks.

Below you will find a download with some of my tank missions including two firing training mission with targets:salute:
