Hemicuda Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Hi all, I just opted in to Il-2 Flying Circus and have a question. I understand it's early access but for some reason while I'm flying the SPAD XIII my MG's seem to jam after a bit of firing. I'm not out of ammo (counter is showing 1/2 full). I have Rise of Flight and know you can clear a MG jam is this also possible in Flying Circus? Btw loving all the releases and since I purchased a VR set I'm really enjoying all the IL-2 titles more then ever before ?
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 20, 2018 1CGS Posted July 20, 2018 The game does not have jams, only misfires. Use the reload key to clear them.
Hemicuda Posted July 21, 2018 Author Posted July 21, 2018 Interesting cause I do have the reload key mapped to my HOTAS for Il-2 and RoF and it wasn't doing anything when I tried it on the SPAD. That's why I asked if the MG's could jam since I was sure RoF had this modeled and just figured maybe Flying Circus did too. Tried the Dr I in the last hour and had the same thing happen as the SPAD except when I pushed my reload button on my HOTAS this time, the right MG reloaded (watched the cocking lever move) and the right MG barked back to life, the left MG did nothing. Not complaining just wondered if I was missing something.

IIRC the RoF reload key operated one gun at a time and the FC one probably does likewise depending on which gun misfires first.
Hemicuda Posted July 21, 2018 Author Posted July 21, 2018 Thank you all for your suggestions, might try and remap the reload key to a different less used button on my HOTAS. My X52 is getting kind of long in the tooth so it's possible the button is starting to occasionally not register the action, it's always been one of most used buttons on the X-52 since I purchased it. Cheers
