G-Sync not enabling every time

Hi all,

 

If I start the game after a reboot of PC, it starts with G-sync enabled. if I exit and re-start, G-sync is not enabled. If I toggle the Fullscreen option in the launcher off and back on then launch, G-sync is enabled again.

 

I am running Fullscreen and ultra, have tried with in-game vsync on and off - same problem.  Vsync is on in Nvidia inspector.

 

When the game starts with G-sync on, it runs fine (confirmed with refresh rate displayed and moving with frame rate).

 

GTX 1070 strix, latest drivers, no desktop overclock. Monitor is ASUS swift 278QR set to 165hz
