Looking for a pictures of the cockpits labeled.

I have printed out the manual, but could someone point me in the right directions to find pictures of the cockpits labeled, especially the Spitfire and Hurricane.

I'm trying to figure out what is causing my planes to drift up and to the right and when I play with the view outside the cockpit but with instruments visible, one of the instruments shows the ball constantly bouncing.  (I know this is a poor description.)  I just don't know which instrument it is, and once I can know I can describe this better, and then try to nail down why all my planes in this game drift up and to the right.  (Doesn't happen in BOS or in Falcon BMS, and there are no issues with my Warthog hotas or pedals.)

You mean this?

With respect, no.  My plane constantly goes up and to the right, and only in CLOD blitz.  No issues in BOS or Falcon BMS.

What I need is a picture of the cockpit and what each instrument is, then I can better narrow down the issue.  Could anyone please point me to a manual that has a picture of the spitfire and/or hurricane cockpit with the instruments labeled?

The instrument is "Turning Indicator" - see in this Mk.II manual - page 14.

The upper needle of instrument show the side slip (the ball you see in external "Wonder Woman" cockpit), the lower part show the plane inclination (roll).

Spitfire has elevator and rudder trim, you should use for counter-balance tendencies.

Try these https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16592.

They have been produced by Chuck Owl and are as user friendly as it gets with descriptions for all the instruments for nearly all the aircraft in game.

You might have to register or submit 1 post simply saying "Hi" or Thanks" to download them. No great hardship.

I still have no idea why every plane in CLOD Blitz drifts up and to the right for me, but in BOS I have no issues.  I have a warthog hotas that works fine in Falcon BMS and in IL2 BOS.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Stabs in the dark....

anthropomorphic (or whatever its called - ) controls in the realism settings - flawed and should be turned off.

Trim including engine settings (but im guessing not) - few aircraft in Clod fly straight and true out of the box. Most will rise if the trim isn't altered with speed.

You got your flaps out (now im really clutching at straws)

Cross bindings or false activations when setting axis (sometimes my pedals or my old ED tracker attempted to take over axis when im setting stuff up)

Check for any odd inputs or spikes in the axis menu on the pitch roll yaw and any trim

Failing that - post a link to a quick video showing the issue. Might help give us more of a clue.

Generally CloD Spitfires will fly "on rails" - more or less "hands off", if trimmed properly for "cruise speed"* and with low properly pitch, low boost pressure, outside of this envelope require pressure on stick. Even trimmed in above conditions, a slip for left may remain.

* Around 200 MPH.

Which is why its so weird that all the planes in CLOD blitz drift up and to the right no me, nothing to the left!  Basically the plane just rolls to the right and slightly up.  I almost go in circles.  And I don't have torque on or anything, I have simplified controls on until I get this figured out, then I hope to really learn how to fly.

I don't have anthropomorphic settings on.  I checked the flaps, I turned the key board on and off, and tried to check for any other crossbindings.  I have a lots of stuff, track ir, a jet seat (thought its off for CLOD blitz) a warthog hotas, track ir, two mfds, and pedals.  I will keep checking.

How can I take a video and post it?  I tried to take a screen shot, but all it did was take a picture of my desktop during the game!

Changing Full Screen to 'Pseudo' mode in the Video settings may allow you to take screenshots - not sure. Otherwise you can hit 'Print Screen' and that will put it on the clipboard, where it can be pasted into Paint or GIMP or something similar and saved as an image.

It's possible that the simplified controls feature might be causing the up and right-hand movement, try flying with it off to see if that makes a difference. You will have to at some point or another ;)

For video capture look up OBS studio, that works well for what it does although there are other more simple programs out there.

Hope this helps :salute:

If you mean during flying... then it can be wind and stuff, just trim your plane. They do that in box too, so you have to trim them. Maybe you just have wind and other stuff turned off in box so you don't experience it. But I am pretty sure they don't fly straight until you trim them in clod and box.

My joystick sometimes behaves oddly in certain games. Try unplugging it, then plugging it back in, and see if it makes a difference.
