Wait until you forget to remove the reflectors, and you find yourself wondering why people are staring at you in the grocery store.

How do you know I don't? :)  Anyway, hard to get much more dorky than a baseball cap with TiR reflectors on it, excluding a VR set naturally.

You guys laugh, but I think that making an early WWII leather flying helmet would be a pretty interesting leatherworking project!

SP players like unreasonable should have an option, but devs should be very cautious not to ruin MP like WT did with just one, seemingly unimpotant, decision. In MP definitely it should be some predefined, identical to all pilots, volume level. ;)

Yep, i have said a few times before the engine sounds were always FAR too quiet even before the bug, especially with regards to other aircraft. I have hoped they will fix this for years but i don't think it's going to happen, especially when one points to examples where they have it correct, your post gets deleted for promoting competitors... Just need to pray tiger33 releases his mod, which also unfortunately looks very bleak.

Well how dare you mention someone else's product. I can't imagine anyone posting comparisons of a product within a forum regarding a similar product...

As for the OP's audio change/bug. I would really like an audio slider for the engine sounds. A low setting like current volume and a high "realistic" setting. With this new bug/change I can actually turn up the game volume to hear wind effects, gun noises, and the smaller noises between the engine and airframe. It's also nice to not have the game volume set at 3% so I can hear people talking on teamspeak/discord over the engine sound. Sitting between a twin engine aircraft was pretty loud even with the volume down!

There should be an option - when you set "normal" settings you have low casual engine sound, when you select "expert" you have realsitic louder engine sound. So simple.

In the latest patch for me the engines are back to normal with a little bit of 3D sound. For me nearly perfect.

Agreed. Hotfix C was a definite improvement for me.

Hello Everybody,

The game has been updated to version 3.005c. This is a minor update:

1) Sound positioning and volume has been updated for all aircraft;
2) Pistols won't inflict incorrectly high damage anymore;
3) A possible cause of a random server crash has been addressed;
4) Mission resaver utility has been updated.

We're also working on some changes to the Netcode at a fundamental level to hopefully address some crashes and server load issues. However, these changes need to be thoroughly checked in a Beta version first. Hopefully we'll be able to include them in the next major release assuming they make a positive impact.

Great update.

Now everything is as it should be, 3D sound works, engines are loud again.

Looks like it was just some bug.

For me the I16 is still not responding. You change the manifold pressure and hear almost no sound response from the engine (oculus rift).

It's a liiiitle better thou.

I still think something needs to be adjusted.  Everyone I know has the game audio set at 5% because the game drowns out Teamspeak.
