Spad vs 109e7

I know I can't be the only one who tried something like this. QMB, Spad vs e7. Actually managed to take down the e7. It would appear that the e7 didn't see me as it never took a shot. Just having a good laugh and a little fun.

We did it online last night.  BlitzPig_WingN, was in the E7 and BlitzPig_Void and  I were in the Spads.

 

WingN got a bit overconfident and I got some rounds into his engine, he then stalled and went in.  Of course he came back in the 190 A8, that didn't go quite so well for me.

It had to be done.

 

That was after we were flying about just testing the new kites.  Formation flying in them is not an easy thing, especially trying to form up on the much slower Fokker.

I have tried shooting down Fokker Dr. 1s with the I-16. It was surprisingly difficult, unless you were willing to chance a head-on duel. The instantaneous turn rate of that thing made me feel like I was fighting one of the bosses in the ancient Wolfenstein 3d, because no matter how I came at it, I always found myself face-to-face with it.

As always, the key is teamwork.   Yes the Fokker is a lot more maneuverable than the Spad, but, the Spad is FAR faster, so you don't indulge your opponent in a turn fight, you just team BnZ him to death.

I've noticed that when shooting at these old crates, you get flashes all over the wings and fuselage as if the rounds were hitting metal, not fabric... hope this will get sorted shortly.

Did anyone manage to drop bombs from the Spad? I am flying it now to play a bit of Ground Pound (as much as 20 pounds can do) but no joy on release tried the binds, tried opening the bomb bay... not sure if any... buut as for fighting 109s... i cant even kill the Fokkers in this thing... they are more maneuverable and the AI does not like to miss ?

The bullets are not fabric and tracer rounds are designed to flash on impact (at least this was the case by ww2)
