Down Out of Control (damage models and more)

First, Dev's thank you very much for start Flying Circus vol.1, which is hopefully ROF 2.0!

A few salient observations from staying up way too late on a work night.  (Why even bother going to bed, now?)

As in the title, the first thing I noticed is how much better the damage models are.  As a casual WW1 reader, I think planes should appear "down out of control" more often than any other destruction and FC does this.  Pilots are easier to kill but I even put a few D.O.C. with pilot still alive.

Also, the wings break off much less often and when they do, it's a more gradual failure than Rise of Flight.  I don't think anyone is going to miss the brittle wings.

I still think more fires would be better but that's not big deal.  (Just finished Eddie Rickenbacker's book and seems about 1/3 of his kills burned, for example.)

Separately, I love the new Dr.1 flight model.  I tried it side by side with ROF and FC's Dr.1 feels way more believable - ROF's felt exaggerated, almost like a UFO.  FC's version is toned down without losing the personality.  Great job.  (I couldn't get it up past about 169 KPH on the wing spinner thing but maybe didn't have mixture perfect.)

Another thing I really like is the higher fidelity engine sound, especially the SPAD.  I'm listening through Bose Q35's and listened back to back, ROF to FC.  FC sounds better by a lot for engines, guns, and the plane creaking and wind in the wires if you shut the engine off in flight.

I assume the AI is a work in progress, I couldn't even get an "ace" to shoot at me.  Everything flew in circles and then ran away.

Least importantly:  Was I the only person immature enough to shoot a Yak down with a Dr.1?

Really looking forward to the Camel and all kinds of other FC progress, especially career.

Thanks again Devs.

PS.   I wasn't eligible for the discount having bought in '14 but I had already decided not to use it, for whatever that's worth.
