Career mode Intercept ground attackers

I am having issues in the career with the mission type Intercept ground attack planes.

So I fly up to the point where  I should intercept the ground attackers but I just end up flying circles above the ground troops, no attackers appear and then we fly back to base an the mission counts as failed, or while circling appear about 6 Mig 3s my flight shoots them all down and the mission still counts as failed. I do not know if this is just with me but I would think this is a bug. Apart from that amazing game as always.

I have exactly this same problem, I don't understand what the sim demands on these missions. Normally, when I arrive to the red point, the attackers have already done their job and are about 25 km away, it is impossible to know where to follow them. Or maybe the trick of the mission is triyng to find them, I don't know

Hi... Most of the time you fly around until a message that says the mission is over and go home. Many times the enemy don't show up on time but if you wait around for awhile five to ten minutes sometimes a little longer, they will show up. Patience is needed with that mission.

It differs a lot. Depending on the aircraft and the career you are flying, it can either be the way you described, or the ground attackers don't come at all, because they attack a completely different artillery unit. But you can also have careers in which you get ground attackers, you can intercept, every mission.
