Gundar_Gushamr Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Is it possible to position the instrument <> map that appears at the lower outside edges of the display? 1
Ptk Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 I haven't found a way to do it. It would be great though.

In DCS is involves editing a.lua file to relocate GUI elements and limit their resolution to your center monitor. I would love a way to make this happen in IL-2,especially if it would also fix the bombsight from being cut off/zommed in too far.
Ptk Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 The only way I've found to affect this so far is to turn on 3dhud = 1, and set or_hud_size = 0.35000ish in the startup.cfg file. Your setting for or_hud_size may be different, I'm using different hangar fov settings . This will move them closer to the center of your view, but they follow your head movement and fov, try it and you'll see what I mean.
Quatem Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Has there been any change on this subject? An official answer somewhere? I do not run the game for this reason anymore.
CockEyed Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I can't find the " or_hud_size= " in the config file

I played with the hud size number and got the starting menu to fit my screen well, the map on the briefing screen fit.... But the in-game hud and menu is then TINY and unusable. Sadly, this doesn't appear to be a valid workaround.
CockEyed Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Thank you for the quick response Eclipse. I won't bother then. Good Hunting
