Mysticpuma Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 (edited) Is it a 'simple' act of including an Nvidia Ansel to the install by TFS? The possibilities for screenshots are incredible and include 61k output render and 360 VR output. From 3 minute mark: Edited July 14, 2018 by Mysticpuma 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted July 15, 2018 Team Fusion Posted July 15, 2018 As far as I know this is something which NVidia would have to implement for the game. You will notice it is implemented for games which are huge sellers.
Mysticpuma Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 Is there a way of asking/finding out for sure?

No. The Ansel SDK can be accessed by joining the NVIDIA Developer Program. Implementing it would probably not be very difficult. However, the Il-2 developers likely have far more important things to worry about. Edited July 16, 2018 by Mitthrawnuruodo

Actually, considering the limitations of Clod's current track recording system, I think this would be incredibly useful and might encourage more people to make Clod videos. Well, here is a list of currently compatible games.....doesn't look like they are all anywhere near triple A games: https://www.finder.com.au/nvidia-ansel
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted July 18, 2018 Team Fusion Posted July 18, 2018 We'll look at this as a possibility in the future. Right now we are focused on actually creating the maps, aircraft and objects for the game. 1
LesG Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 (edited) The 360 pictures are looking really great with google cardboard (360° geosphere pictures ingame - war thunder - made with nvidia ansel) you can rotate your head to look around and you can zoom inside the scene. The quality of the pictures is perfect. File Size 4k (raw.exr) = 96 Mb but you can reduce it with photoshop (or other paint programs) to 8 bit for each color channel and save it as .jpg File Size reduced to 5 Mb, 4096x2048 resolution for google cardboard but you can also use occulus go or other VR systems. To make a 360° Video is a lot of work. For 3 minutes ingame footage i will get 400 Gb raw files. Every picture had to be reduced to 8 bit channel and also the file has to be a .jpg (or other standard) because Adobe Premiere dont work with the raw.exr files. So i decided to reduce it to slideshow movies with nice shots where you can zoom in and rotate inside the scene. Nvidia ansel is the next step into creating ingame art and VR experience. Some Pictures (5 Mb size - 4096x2048 resolution): P47D (War Thunder) Spoiler Edited December 23, 2018 by LesG
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted December 23, 2018 Team Fusion Posted December 23, 2018 We will certainly consider this as an element which can be added after TF 5.0 in a patch. But for now, our coders and others are too busy with the work required for the actual release. And additionally, our first priority after the release is implementing VR. ?
LesG Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 (edited) Sounds great. Thx Spoiler Nvidia Ansel is a very powerful tool to make the perfect ingame picture. (Pictures are made in War Thunder with Nvidia Ansel) The Toolbar gives you more control about the best position for the shot and the camera angle etc. A better zoom (and filter - motion blur at the spinner of the Bf109) To find the best position for the shot is very comfortable with ansel A lot of filters are integrated in ansel. Two Shots with and without motion blur at the Bf109 Edited December 24, 2018 by LesG
