ozziggy Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 I fly with friends using Coops mission against the AI. when one human pilot dies is there a setting that allows that player to jump onto an spectate from external views the other still live players. This was available in IL2 and forgotten battles but i can for the life of me get it to work in Battle of Kuban. If with spectating set to allowed, players seem stuck to a particular area and cant jump from plane to plane like we used to be able to do?
Sketch Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 The mission creator has to set cameras up in the mission. Then, when you die, and spectating is allowed, you would just cycle through the cameras via F2. (I believe that's the default key.)
ozziggy Posted July 12, 2018 Author Posted July 12, 2018 Thanks for the response! So it is not like the old IL2 in which you could just jump to any plane and watch it while you waited for the team to finish the mission? Odd decision to make it perversely harder. I mean i get the ability to disable it in competitive cooperative matches but in matches against the AI it is fun to watch you team mates fly after you have been killed. I really cant understand why this is not possible in BoK if it was possible in IL2

You *should* be able to jump from plane to plane, if that plane is within render distance of where the camera is located. The default camera, I believe, is always in the center of the map. If your buds are not within the visible render distance (9.6k) of that camera (or any camera for that matter), then you won't be able to switch to them. This is why Berloga Dogfight Server has cameras at each dueling location, and why it's a good idea to add cameras to your cooperative missions. Edited July 12, 2018 by [TWB]Sketch clarity
